The Rebirth of a Rose

A Journey from Hair Loss to Self-Love, Healing, and Confidence

Her story

Leigh Rose writes from the inside of the alopecia journey. After years of quietly navigating hair loss, wigs, and the mirror’s daily question, she chose to stop hiding — and started telling the truth. That truth became a book, then a community, then a movement.

Through The Rebirth of a Rose, Leigh invites readers into the tender, often unspoken moments of living with alopecia: the first strands in the sink, the well-meaning questions from strangers, the decision to step out bare-headed, and the slow, brave return to self-love.

As an author

Leigh’s writing blends memoir, encouragement, and practical guidance. Her debut book, The Rebirth of a Rose, is the first in a series exploring alopecia awareness, treatment, self-care, and confidence.

As a founder

She founded Rebirth of a Rose to make sure no one walks the alopecia path alone. The community offers peer support, educational resources, advocacy, and a space to be seen exactly as you are.

What she believes

  • Your worth is not measured by the hair on your head.
  • Healing happens in community, not isolation.
  • Every story told is a light turned on for someone still in the dark.
  • A rose does not bloom less beautifully because it has fewer petals.
“I didn’t lose my beauty when I lost my hair. I found my voice.”
